Macie's First Birthday

Macie's first birthday was on Tuesday, April 12th.  We had a fun day full of celebrating!  It was fun for me to remember everything that had happened that same day one year ago.  We woke up to balloons, one of her favorite things! (Blogger is being dumb and won't let me center this picture.  oh well)

 After her morning nap we went to the clinic because the girls had surprises for her.  Nicole, who macie seriously loves, gave her a little giraffe comfort blanket thing.  The face that Macie is giving is classic!

 Papa bought Macie some balloons, and she, of course, loved them.

 She did pretty good at opening this present all by herself. It was a bag of suckers from Paulette, and Macie just couldn't contain herself.  She had to eat three at once :)

 After the clinic we came home to get ready for her family birthday party.  Grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends came to celebrate!  Dallas barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers for every one and then we opened presents.

  Macie is starting to get the hang of ripping off paper, but with all her cousins there to help her she didn't get much practice :)

 We gave her a pillow pet and she loved it!

 Her friend, Liv, who lives next door to us and is the same age as her, (but didn't come to her party :( ...) gave her this awesome book.  It's got little felt animals in it, and each page has patches of felt that you can stick them to.  Super cute and keeps her totally entertained at church!  Whenever she sees it in my diaper bag, or on her bookshelf, it's the first thing she pulls out.

 Aunt Kristi and Uncle Chad gave her this awesome game, Elefun, and all the kids had a blast playing it.

 Of course, like any other kid, Macie loved playing with the boxes and wrapping paper :)

 Her cousins, Hailey and Kamryn, gave her this beanie baby dog.  Macie is obsessed with dogs.

 Singing "Happy Birthday!"  She was so excited! But she wouldn't really dig into it with her hands.  It wasn't until Dallas handed her a fork that she really went to town.

All of her gifts that she got.  The kid is spoiled.....But mostly just loved lots and lots!  Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us! I can't believe she is already a year old!
