Getting the Mini Ready

Since we've moved back from california, Dallas' mini truck has been sitting in the garage. What. A. Bummer. I've always wanted to go wheeling....real wheeling, but there weren't great places in California (that we knew of). Now that we are back in Utah I've been bugging Dallas to take me. Well...the mini has not exactly been in working order. It's been really hard to get it started, there's an oil leak, and the drive line is busted. All of which we need to get fixed in order for it to work..which also means forking out the dough.
We have finally planned a trip to Moad over memorial day, so it's time to get the thing ready to go! First off-a trip to auto zone to figure out why the battery wasn't holding a charge. Turns out we had a bad battery and alternator! Not a cheap fix.
So here's some pics for you to enjoy of our adventure fixing it!
Well, ok, this first one is just to show off the truck
Here's Dallas at AutoZone changing the battery. It's so nice to have a handy husband who knows how to fix things! I love it.
The next step was to head back to his Dad's garage to put the alternator in. No I don't have any pictures of this fun adventure, but I Helped!! For reals I did! It didn't take too long and is good to know that we've fixed the whole not being able to start problem.
We now have the mini out of the garage and have driven it around town a little bit. It's been so fun to be back in it! That is the vehicle we used the whole time we were dating so there are lots of fun memories with it!
Now all we need to do is get the drive line fixed and we'll be good to go. Hopefully the oil leak is just a minor thing and Dallas can fix it. We'll have to see!
Can't wait to go to Moab and see what all the hype is about!
