Decorating

So it's been a while...again.  So sorry!  I got chastised by Laurie because I used to post every week and since we've moved Utah I have been a slacker.  So I promise to do better and try to update at least weekly. Ha! Anyway, here are some fun things that I've been up to.  Moving in to a new apartment means having fun decorating, and that's just what I've been doing.  This past Christmas, Shellie gave me these really cute family blocks.  But my old apartment was so little and cramped that I didn't really have a place to put them.  She also gave me some flowers and ribbon to use to decorate the blocks.  Now that I actually have a place to put them, I could finally add the cute flowers to them.

I still haven't 100% decided where to put them, but at least they are all finished now.

I have Thursday afternoons off work, so two weeks ago Laurie and I spent that afternoon together.  We went to lunch, ran some errands, and then went to Tai Pan to see if I could find some cute things to put in my house.  I LOVE that store!  They have so many cute things!  Here are the things that I got to fill some empty space.

And this fun creation sits next to our new entertainment center.  Laurie and I made this.  Well, I should really say that Laurie made it.  I just kind of watched and helped out when I saw something that caught my attention.  It was really fun finding things to put in it and picking out things that I normally wouldn't even look twice at.  But I'm trying to expand my creativity.  So thanks Laurie for a super fun afternoon!

Here is our new entertainment center with the arrangement.  I am still waiting for a shelf that a girl I work with is building for me to finish my living room.  That's going to go above the TV.  Hopefully it will give the room that finishing touch that it is really lacking right now.  I can't wait till I get everything settled and in it's place.  I still have a whole box of decorations and stuff that I'm not 100% sure of where to put.  I do have some good news though.  We sold our old bedroom set finally on craig's list for 400!!!!  Super awesome.  The only dilemma is now we don't have a dresser.  So all of our clothes that were in our old dresser are just sitting on the floor.  I'm hoping one day we will finish moving in :)  Oh yeah, and we have someone coming tomorrow to look at our old entertainment center to buy.  Hopefully he'll like it.
